John Scott president SSA
The Council’s solicitor member, John Scott QC, has been elected president of the Society of Solicitor Advocates.
John’s election was announced at the Society’s annual general meeting held in Edinburgh earlier this month when former president Tom Marshall stepped down.
John, who has served as vice-president (criminal) of the Society for eight years, welcomed the new role which he adds to his work for the Council and the Howard League for Penal Reform in Scotland.
