Communications Committee 1st meeting

The Communications Committee held its inaugural meeting on 13 October when it appointed Sheriff McFadyen (sheriff member) as the Chair.

Members discussed:

• the development of website material - including a section on what happens after sentencing
• training on how best to produce accessible information 
• engagement events.

The Committee was set up to promote greater awareness and understanding of sentencing.

The Council’s Research Committee is to hold its first meeting on 24 November.
