Business Plan news item

Secondary legislation is now in place requiring the Council to submit a three-year Business Plan to the Scottish Parliament. 

Work has begun on the inaugural, 2015-18 Plan which will include details on the Council’s planned activity, the development of sentencing guidelines, its available resources and a work programme laying out initial projects. Information will also be provided on the matters the Council proposes to prepare sentencing guidelines on.

The Council will consult the Scottish Ministers, Lord Advocate and the Lord Justice General, among others, on the Plan’s content before submitting it in September.

Once published it will be available on the website.
